PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Authentium today
announced it has been included in Gartner’s "Cool Vendors in
Infrastructure Protection, 2009" report by analyst Neil MacDonald, et
al.
The “Cool Vendor” report highlights companies with
real-world usability in infrastructure protection while continuing to
provide security innovation. According to Gartner’s report,
"security innovation continues to come chiefly from small, pure-play
vendors, rather than established, larger infrastructure and security
providers."
"We are honored to be included in Gartner’s ‘Cool
Vendors’ report,” says Doug Brunt, President and CEO of
Authentium. “We believe that this recognition further validates
our ability to provide a secure web browsing solution to all businesses
aiming to protect their customers’ data. SafeCentral enables a
secure internet session, even if the user’s PC is already
compromised with the worst malware. Our focus is to keep the users
sensitive information protected from hackers and crimeware, and we are
happy to see Gartner validate this focus.”
ABOUT GARTNER’S COOL VENDORS SELECTION PROCESS
Gartner's listing does not constitute an exhaustive list of vendors
in any given technology area, but rather is designed to highlight
interesting, new and innovative vendors, products and services. Gartner
disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, with respect to this
research, including any warranties of merchantability or fitness of a
particular purpose.
Gartner defines a cool vendor as a company that offers technologies
or solutions that are: Innovative, enable users to do things they
couldn't do before; Impactful, have, or will have, business impact (not
just technology for the sake of technology); Intriguing, have caught
Gartner's interest or curiosity in approximately the past six months.
