This release is intended to replace all prior versions, and should be considered a recommended update for Windows 2000 through Windows 7, 32 and 64 bit platforms. Please note that a reboot may be required when updating from a previous release.

- This release of CSAM incorporates the first iteration of our "in-the-cloud" malware query engine. In cases where we cannot identify malware in the local database, CSAM will make queries to our server to determine the potential malware status of a file. For that purpose we send very limited (no user) information to the server, which includes: Connecting IP, Hash of file, Scan engine version, Version of signature file, Product Id, base name of detection and the identity of rule that triggered the detection. if you do not want to use this feature you can disable it in the CSAM user interface in "Advanced mode" under Tasks->(task name)->properties->scans->Settings & Heuristics->(clear the box of "use cloud scanning").
