We have created this privacy statement as a means to communicate our information collection, use and dissemination practices and to inform you about your choices regarding the use of your personal information. Authentium is a licensee of the TRUSTe Privacy Program.  TRUSTe is an independent, non-profit organization whose mission is to build user’s trust and confidence in the Internet by promoting the use of fair information practices.  This privacy statement covers the sites www.authentium.com (including the Command Anti-Malware website), www.authentium.net and www.authentium.co.uk .  Because these Web sites want to demonstrate a commitment to your privacy, the sites have agreed to disclose its information practices and have its privacy practices reviewed for compliance by TRUSTe.

We take your privacy seriously. If you have any questions or complaints about this privacy policy or our privacy practices, you should contact our Privacy Office by mail or email. The TRUSTe program covers only information that is collected through the www.authentium.com, www.authentium.net and www.authentium.co.uk. websites, and does not cover information that may be collected through software downloaded from these sites.

Authentium complies with the EU Safe Harbor framework as set forth by the Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of data from the European Union.

Information Collection and Use

In order to allow you to fully utilize the services made available on this website, we may request and collect personal information about you. Examples of instances where we collect your personal information include:

1. To request information about our services, you are required to register with us. During the registration process, we collect information such as your name, your organization’s name, your mailing address, telephone number, and email address and the computer hardware and software that you use.

2. To complete an on-line order, we will also collect your shipping address and credit card information.

3. If you request technical support, we will request that you provide us with information that will enable us to assist you, such as your name, address, the Authentium products that you are using, your computer hardware and software that you are using.

4. When you register a product with us, we will request your name, address, product number, name of reseller and date of purchase.

5. If you want to communicate with us for any reason, including to give us feedback on our website or to request additional information, we request your name, address and contact information.

If you elect not to provide us with the personal information requested, we may not be able to respond to your inquiry or process your order.

We also may collect and use non-personal information about users of our website, such as internet address or type of browser. In addition, we may track general information about traffic on our website.

How We Use Collected Information

We use the personal information that we collect for the stated purpose, e.g., if we collect information in connection with an on-line order, we use the information to fulfill and invoice the order. In addition, we may use the information that we collect to provide additional services or information to you or to improve your website experience. For example, we may publish and distribute a newsletter to our registered users or we may contact you with updates on virus and spyware threats or announcements regarding new products or services or new features available on our website. 

We use non-personal information about web visitors and website traffic to assess the performance of our website and improve your website experience.

With Whom We Share Information

Service Providers

We use other third parties to host and provide customer experience management solutions on our custhelp.com support site.  As a result, when you use the support site we will share your user ID as necessary for the third party to provide that service. 

These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose.

In general, except as stated at the time we request your information, we will not sell, share or rent your personal information with third parties. Please note, however, that we may share your information with one or more of our partners or resellers if you request information about our products and services, and those products or services are marketed through our partner or reseller arrangements. For order processing and billing purposes we may share some or all of your personal information with a parent company or with subsidiary companies or other companies that are controlled by or under common control with us.  We do not offer you a choice to opt-out of such sharing.  Such companies will be bound by this privacy statement. If we merge with another company or if our company (or all or substantially all of our assets) are acquired, the acquirer will own the personal information that we have collected, but such ownership shall be subject to the terms of this privacy statement.

How You Can Opt-Out or Change Your Personal Information

You can opt-out of receiving additional information from us or allowing us to share your personal information in several ways. If an opt-out choice is not provided on the website page on which your information is collected, you can opt-out by sending us an opt-out request via email to [email protected]. In addition, at any time, if you change your mind about receiving information from us or allowing us to share your personal information, you can elect to opt-out by sending us an opt-out request via email to [email protected]  or by contacting us at the address described above. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

You can update, change, delete or deactivate your personal information by accessing your user profile on our website. Your user profile can be accessed via http://www.authentium.com/support/password/.  We will respond to your request within 30 days.

Use of Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes, and to enable easier navigation between sections of a web site. We use cookies on this site.  If you have provided us with personal information, we link the cookies to your information for the purpose of identifying you as a registered visitor to the site, as described below.

Authentium, or our third party marketing firms, may occasionally use clear gifs in HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to determine how effective our email campaigns may be and to improve our email marketing efforts. If you elect to participate in a forum, blog or discussion on our website, please be advised that this privacy statement does not cover any personal or other information that you may disclose and we have no control over or responsibility for how participants in such forum, blog or discussion may use any personal information that you provide to them.

Security

We take security measures consistent with industry practice to help protect against the unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft or alteration of your information. Notice for EU Offline

We participate in the EU Safe Harbor Privacy Framework as set forth by the United States Department of Commerce.
