Partnership Allows Service Providers to Benefit from Comprehensive Content Security Supported with Anti-Virus Scanning
6/22/2001
Jupiter, FL. - Command Software today announced an agreement with Baltimore Technologies (NASDAQ:BALT;London:BLM), a global leader in e-security, that allows service providers to benefit from Command AntiVirus software when they purchase Baltimore MAILsweeper™ and e-Sweeper™, part of the MIMEsweeper™ family of products.
Under the agreement, the companies will team to provide their best-of-breed solutions so that customers can benefit from the best detection for both known and new viruses using Command’s HoloCheck™ heuristic scanner, and Baltimore’s content security solutions. These technologies have already protected organizations from threats such as Melissa, MTX and Home Page before the general anti-virus vendor community became aware of them.
“With the majority of new viruses arriving via e-mail it is important that companies not only protect their systems from content threats but also prevent viruses reaching them,” said Danny Ross, Command Software. “The combination of Baltimore’s and Command’s solutions offer a comprehensive and reliable answer to these security issues.”
“Providing seamless updates of the Command software to MIMEsweeper results in the highest level of protection for our customers,” said Ted Marousek, Baltimore Technologies. “This partnership ensures that Command AntiVirus and Baltimore e-Sweeper will work together smoothly, and provide comprehensive protection to our extensive customer base. ”
